Side-gusseted tubular films result from the film loop itself or tubular films. When tubular film is wound up, a side fold is inserted into it with the help of so-called swords. This creates a larger volume and allows more contents. A side gusset is often used in packaging to create additional space for larger or irregularly shaped goods.
